Job Summary
Execute electrical safety tests per defined schedules and standards including IEC 61010, UL 508, and CSA. Perform insulation resistance, dielectric strength, leakage current, and grounding continuity tests while operating and maintaining test equipment. Develop test procedures, generate accurate reports, and record data in LIMS and logbooks. Collaborate with design, quality, and manufacturing teams to resolve safety concerns and support internal/external audit preparations. Maintain complete documentation, ensure traceability, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the Emerson laboratory environment.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering discipline
- Hands-on experience in electrical safety testing aligned with IEC, UL, or CSA standards
- Working knowledge of insulation resistance, dielectric strength, leakage current, and grounding tests
- Experience in test procedure development and reporting
- Understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 and laboratory QMS practices
- Experience working in NABL-accredited or similar testing laboratories
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and ensure traceability
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in testing industrial electrical and electromechanical products
- Exposure to certification processes and regulatory audits
- Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
- Experience in calibration activities and equipment maintenance
- Strong analytical and documentation skills
