Job Summary
Electrical Safety Manager at Owen Electric Company responsible for identifying gaps in Electrical Safety Program, implementing safety controls for electrical work hazards, field reviews, and in-field safety observations. Maintains SME knowledge of NFPA 70E and electrical safety, conducts safety trainings and audits, reviews lockout/tagout procedures, and ensures compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, and EM-385. Travel up to 50% and lead safety initiatives across sites. Must have strong leadership, communication, and training abilities, and be able to prepare safety reports and plans.
Required Qualifications
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) level knowledge in electrical safety and NFPA 70E
- Arc Flash Analysis protocols and concepts
- Experience in Electrical Safety and OSHA/NFPA 70E knowledge
- High/low voltage electrical safety experience
- Journeyman Electrician strongly preferred; with a minimum of 10 years electrical experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management strongly preferred; High school diploma required
- OSHA-30 certification, CPR, First-Aid, Arc Flash (NFPA 70e) certification, Fall Protection and trench & excavation certified
- Ability to read, write, use a computer, analyze, and interpret OSHA standards; write reports
- Fluency in English and Spanish preferred
- Travel: Up to 50%
- Leadership and communication skills
- Ability to train, influence and motivate team members
- Valid driver’s license
- Equipment operator experience
- Basic equipment maintenance knowledge
- Excellent time and cost management skills
