Job Summary
Lead electrical projects from concept to handover across manufacturing and commercial sites, managing installations, upgrades, and refurbishments. Develop scopes, schedules, and budgets while coordinating internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure safe, on-time delivery within financial constraints. Conduct risk assessments, manage permits to work, and oversee design reviews to meet standards like BS 7671 and IEC regulations. Liaise with production, engineering, and senior management to align work with business priorities, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain compliance documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience delivering electrical projects in manufacturing, industrial, or commercial environments
- Strong working knowledge of electrical regulations and standards
- Experience managing contractors and external suppliers
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and risk
- Strong understanding of health & safety requirements (e.g., PUWER, EAW, permit systems)
Desired Qualifications
- Chartered or working toward chartership (IEng/CEng)
- Project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, PMP)
- Experience within a high-volume manufacturing or process industry
- Knowledge of automation, controls, or industrial power systems
