Electrical Project Superintendent - Multi-Family

Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day activities of a single multi-family residential project, coordinating with internal and external partners to ensure quality, production, and safety. Read plans, specifications, and construction documents to determine scope, material requirements, and installation needs. Supervise installation crews, field employees, punch mechanics, and subcontractors while serving as the competent person on site for safety and the client's point of contact. Identify required tools, materials, and equipment; complete operational, production, and safety documentation including JHAs and as-built drawings. Collaborate with general contractors and inspectors to meet code requirements and project deadlines. Walk job sites daily to monitor progress, address deficiencies, and maintain clean, organized work areas. Manage jobsite materials through takeoffs, ordering, receiving, and inventory control. Supervise electrical equipment installation, testing, and temporary power systems while ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in the Electrical trade
- Minimum 8 years of installation experience in the electrical
- Thorough understanding of electrical installation practices, industry standards, and applicable code requirements
- Thorough understanding of residential and commercial new construction processes, including sequencing and timing of inspections and quality control procedures
- Ability to effectively supervise, coordinate, train, mentor, and develop field personnel, installation crews, subcontractors, and punch mechanics
- Ability to identify problems quickly and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced construction environment
- Ability to oversee and coordinate multiple people, projects, and priorities simultaneously
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and project quality standards
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret plans, specifications, shop drawings, duct layouts, equipment installation instructions, and related construction documents
- Strong understanding of the electrical construction industry, including troubleshooting and identifying faults in electrical systems
- Must be able to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting
- Must be able to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
