Job Summary
Lead electrical projects from acquisition through completion, managing full lifecycles including estimation, planning, and coordination. Serve as primary liaison with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain schedules and deliveries, while assisting field supervisors in organizing personnel activities safely. Drive project profitability by overseeing billings, labor cost allocations, and cash flow, ensuring accurate estimates and change orders. Uphold safety protocols and quality standards, mentoring subordinates and fostering a collaborative climate. Submit forecasting and expense reports on schedule, maintain detailed project schedules in Procore, and review technical documents for accuracy. Manage $8M in active contracts with a net profit target of $300,000 annually, achieving zero lost-time injuries and zero OSHA violations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of six (6) years of construction trade experience
- Possession of an NC State Unlimited or Masters License (or equivalent out-of-state credentials)
Desired Qualifications
- Ideally within the electrical trade
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- In-depth understanding of code and practical installation processes
- Proficiency in reading construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and maintain complex project schedules
- Skilled in MS Office and standard industry software for project management, estimating, and accounting
- NC State Unlimited or Masters License (or equivalent out-of-state credentials) is highly valued
