Job Summary
Draft subcontractor agreements and track their timely return, manage overall subcontractor aspects, and plan work schedules and material deliveries. Complete equipment reports covering usage, maintenance, and cost coding, while obtaining material quotes and submitting purchase orders. Submit and track all project submittals, prepare monthly pay requests, and maintain field purchase order documentation. Prepare daily internal reporting documents to track project issues and communications, inspect job sites for safety compliance, and attend site meetings with owners and subcontractors. This role reports to the Project Manager on the Central Everglades Planning Project's $2.87 billion reservoir dam construction.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate Electrical Engineer with 2 years of related experience
- Undergraduate Electrical Engineer with 5 years of related experience
- Experience working on USACE projects
- Knowledge of software systems such as Viewpoint, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and AutoCAD
- MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code
- Verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities depending on project needs
- Ability to develop and maintain successful relationships with all levels of employees, clients, and subcontractors
- Ability to self-manage work with little supervision
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
