Electrical Project Engineer - Substation

Job Summary
Coordinate high voltage substation projects up to 765kV by developing detailed design deliverables for protection, control, and physical layouts including schematics, wiring, and yard plans. Lead engineering teams through the EPC process, preparing equipment specifications, Bills of Materials, and managing design budgets and schedules. Perform quality reviews of electrical design packages and provide technical guidance on codes, standards, and company policies to junior members. Actively communicate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to align project activities with stakeholder interests while supporting business development pursuits.
Required Qualifications
- High voltage (HV) substation design experience
- Physical and/or Protection & Controls
- Project lead and technical specialist experience
- overseeing utility substation clients and projects
- QA/QC Reviews
- Quality Assurance/Quality Checks
- Experience coordinating and communicating with Clients
- Multidisciplinary Leads
- Project Managers
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Proficient with Bluebeam Revu
- Microsoft Office Programs
- Outlook
- Excel
- Powerpoint
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
