Electrical Project Engineer - Substation

Job Summary
Lead high voltage substation projects from detailed design through Engineering, Procurement, and Construction, developing protection and control deliverables such as one-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring plans. Prepare physical design outputs including yard layouts, grounding systems, and auxiliary power arrangements while performing quality reviews on design packages. Coordinate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to present proposals and manage design budgets and schedules. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, oversee resource management, and support business development activities. This role involves working on projects up to 765kV with potential travel to client and vendor offices.
Required Qualifications
- High voltage (HV) substation design experience
- Physical and/or Protection & Controls
- Project lead and technical specialist experience

- QA/QC Reviews
- Quality Assurance/Quality Checks
- Experience coordinating and communicating with Clients
- Multidisciplinary Leads
- Project Managers
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Proficient with Bluebeam Revu
- Microsoft Office Programs
- Outlook
- Excel
- Powerpoint
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
