Job Summary
The Electrical Project Engineer independently designs, coordinates, and documents electrical systems for building projects. This role involves developing electrical plans, power distribution designs, and performing various engineering calculations. Responsibilities also include conducting site investigations, reviewing submittals, and mentoring junior engineers. Candidates should possess strong technical skills, engineering judgment, and effective communication skills, along with 3–7 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 3–7 years of relevant electrical engineering design experience in building systems
- Familiarity with applicable codes and standards including NEC, IECC, NFPA, and IBC
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) actively working toward licensure
- Experience with commercial, healthcare, institutional, or multifamily projects
