Electrical Project Engineer - Infrastructure PSS

Job Summary
Conduct power systems studies including load flow analysis, fault current assessments, overcurrent coordination, and arc flash evaluations for clients in industrial, healthcare, higher education, and water/wastewater markets. Perform electrical engineering calculations, code analysis, and cost estimates while serving as the lead engineer for assigned projects with minimal oversight. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, attend client and contractor meetings, and prepare detailed reports and specifications. Execute site visits and field inspections of electrical systems to ensure design accuracy and compliance. As part of the MEPS Infrastructure team, you will help shape renewable energy integration and decarbonization objectives for national clients.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering (BSEE) degree from an accredited university
- 5+ years of progressive design and project management experience, minimum 2+ years performing power system studies
- Accomplished Professional Engineer (P.E.) in North Carolina
- Experience coordinating engineering work and interfacing with other disciplines as needed
- Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines
- Well organized, with good understanding of electrical power system software, applicable codes, national standards, and electrical safety
- Attend client and contractor meetings and prepare meeting minutes
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
