Job Summary
Electrical Project Engineer role focusing on electrical, instrumentation and controls design for water and wastewater facilities. Responsibilities include creating detailed construction drawings (power distribution single line diagrams, control schematics, grounding & lighting plans, P&IDs) using AutoCAD; developing engineering calculations, specifications, and cost estimates; ensuring compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 820, UL508A; conducting short circuit/coordination/arc flash studies; coordinating with project staff and utility providers; conducting quality management reviews; mentoring junior engineers and designers; located in Phoenix or Peoria, AZ with hybrid work arrangement; visa sponsorship not available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 4+ years of increasing responsibility in electrical engineering
- Registered Professional Electrical Engineer
- Experience in the design of power and control systems for water/wastewater facilities
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proficiency in Easypower or ETAP
- Experience with AGi32 or similar software
- Strong oral and written communication skills
