Job Summary
Electrical Programme Tutor to mentor and assess Apprentices in Electrical Installation and Maintenance. Manage an agreed caseload of apprenticeship students, assess competencies toward End Point Assessment, and work closely with employers to develop learners' skills, knowledge, and behaviours through one-to-one guidance. Contribute to outstanding apprenticeship provision, student success, and local workforce development; role emphasizes coaching and mentoring, with focus on industry background and a Level 3 electrical qualification plus 2+ years of experience. Fixed-term/ permanent part-time position located in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk within West Suffolk College's Apprenticeships team.
Required Qualifications
- Level 3 or above in Electrical Installation (e.g., Level 3 Electrotechnical qualification or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical)
- at least two years of experience within the sector
- confident communicator
- ability to coach and mentor apprentices through their journey
- manage a caseload of apprenticeship students
- assess Electrical Installation and Maintenance competencies
- work with employers to develop learner skills and prepare for End Point Assessment
