Electrical Procurement Engineer - Pre Fab Shop

Job Summary
Initiate and manage purchase orders while evaluating project schedules to align material deliveries. Participate in specification reviews, bid preparation, and quote solicitation processes, including developing supplier work statements and negotiating costs. Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely arrivals, track incorrect or late orders, and expedite as needed. Resolve payment or material discrepancies and obtain refunds when necessary. Monitor supplier performance to ensure contract obligations are met and identify new suppliers. Issue department reports and assist with material inspections, factory testing, and coordination of meetings.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience working in a purchasing function
- Understanding of material work planning and engineering methods in conjunction with purchasing requirements
- High level of initiative and excellent judgement
- Ability to multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in basic computer software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
