Job Summary
Electrical/Principal Electrical Engineering Technical Lead for the Sentinel Launch Systems Infrastructure Facility Electrical Design Team in Roy, UT. Develop and document electrical power generation, conversion, and distribution systems and circuit protective requirements for ground systems, coordinate with integration teams, and deliver electrical system design content and documentation. Role requires understanding weapon-system design intent at a general level and translating it into facility power and equipment design decisions. Requires leadership, mentoring, and strong written/verbal communication, with regular collaboration across engineering and stakeholder teams. Travel approximately 25% and ability to obtain SAP approval; candidate must be a US citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance. Familiarity with Siemens Teamcenter PLM, ETAP/PSS/E/SKM/EasyPower/PSCAD, and MIL-specs (IEEE, NEC, NESC, UFC) is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) from an accredited university
- 2 years of experience for Engineer Electrical role or 0 years with a Master’s for Principal Engineer Electrical
- 0 years with a PhD for Principal Engineer Electrical
- US Citizenship
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Ability to obtain SAP approval within a reasonable period of time
- Knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter PLM or equivalent
- Electrical engineering experience in electrical architecture, power system and power equipment design, test of mixed signal circuits, interface definition, or power distribution
- Experience with power-system design/analysis software such as ETAP, PSS/E, SKM, EasyPower, PSCAD
- Knowledge of mil-specs and standards (IEEE, NEC, NFPA, NESC, UFC)
- MS Office skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
