Job Summary
Electrical Power Studies Engineer responsible for leading and performing Power Systems Studies for mission-critical data center projects. Responsibilities include autonomous day-to-day work, leading design teams, mentoring engineers, developing proposals and standards, and producing study deliverables such as load flow, short circuit, arc flash, transient stability analyses, and protective coordination with associated reports and labeling. Requires deep knowledge of electrical power distribution systems in data centers, familiarity with protective devices, arc flash hazards, and ability to interact with clients and internal teams to meet project goals. Strong communication, project-management skills, and ability to coordinate resources across projects are essential.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10+ year’s Electrical Engineering experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar engineering degree
- Licensed PE / EIT a Plus
- Experience designing electrical power systems for complex data center/mission critical facilities
- Power system simulation software such as ETAP, PSS/E, SKM, or Easy Power
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with clients
- Client-facing experience and ability to serve as primary contact on projects
- Minimal travel: 10-20%
