Job Summary
Electrical Power Studies Engineer responsible for leading and executing Power Systems Studies for mission-critical data centers, including Load Flow, Short Circuit, Arc Flash, and Protection Coordination analyses. Will design coordination and construction administration support, mentor engineers, develop proposals and standards, and produce final deliverables (breaker settings tables, TCCs, arc flash labels). Role requires onsite work at a Data Center in Dallas with potential remote collaboration and interaction with enterprise, colocation, and hyperscale projects; strong emphasis on reliability, energy efficiency, sustainable design, LEED considerations, and client-facing communication.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar engineering degree
- 5-10+ years Electrical Engineering experience
- Experience designing electrical power systems for complex data center/mission critical facilities
- Knowledge of electrical topologies related to mission critical facilities
- Experience with protective devices (relays, circuit breakers, fuses)
- Power system simulation software (ETAP, PSS/E, SKM, Easy Power)
- SME of industry and safety standards related to power systems with emphasis on arc flash hazards
- Client facing experience and ability to be primary client contact
- MS Office Suite
- Ability to work independently
