Job Summary
Under supervision, maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and mechanical equipment essential to operation. Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment, plumbing for gas/water/air/sewer lines, office furniture, operating boiler room in emergencies, and occasional carpentry and painting. Requires knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing basics, arithmetic and basic mechanics; experience with air conditioning/heating; basic computer skills. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, read/write English, and obtain EPA Section 608 refrigerant recovery certification within 180 days of hire/promotion; Districts may require Class A CDL with tanker endorsement within 180 days. Job is on-site and essential during events; physical/mental requirements apply; pre-employment drug/alcohol testing is required. This position does not require a bachelor’s degree or higher and is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Education equal to high school diploma
- Knowledge of electrical systems
- Basic knowledge of plumbing
- Knowledge of simple arithmetic and basic mechanics
- Air conditioning and heating experience
- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver’s license
- EPA Section 608 certification within 180 days of hire or promotion
- CDL with tanker endorsement within 180 days for Districts (Class A)
- Pre-employment drug/alcohol test
- English language proficiency
