Job Summary
Plant Engineering role focusing on electrical systems for manufacturing welding machines and consumables. Responsible for implementing capital projects, designing and supporting industrial electrical systems, developing PLC/HMI/VFD programs using Rockwell, Siemens, and Beijer, updating National Instruments LabVIEW code, and ensuring compliance with ISO EHS standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and NFPA codes. Collaborates with Production, Maintenance, IT, and MES teams; provides technical support to reduce downtime and improve performance; leads projects, manages external engineers/construction personnel, and coordinates with facility teams. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of experience, travel to NEO facilities, and capability to work off shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of professional experience
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical CAD software
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and test equipment including Rockwell Automation software, Siemens software, and National Instruments, LabVIEW
- Knowledge of NFPA 70, 70E, and 79 and other technical codes
- Knowledge of basic networking concepts and SQL Database
- Demonstrate initiative and accept responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Strong ownership and results-driven mindset
- Good judgement, self-motivation, and safety consciousness
- Excellent organizational skills
- Superior written and oral communication abilities
- Adaptability to handle diverse assignments and changing priorities
- Hands-on work capability and effective collaboration on the shop floor
- Critical thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in supporting and troubleshooting industrial equipment
- Flexibility to work off shifts, travel between NEO facilities, and travel as required
