Job Summary
Develop detailed 3D electrical models and associated design documentation using Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and other digital engineering tools. Support the development and delivery of electrical design solutions from concept through detailed design and construction phases, preparing high-quality drawings aligned with Australian Standards and client requirements. Model and coordinate complex systems including power distribution, lighting, communications, and security for stations, tunnels, and depot facilities. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary design teams, participate in BIM coordination activities, and identify design issues to ensure constructability and project performance. Manage allocated work packages while maintaining safety, quality, and sustainability standards.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Diploma, Diploma in Engineering, Advanced Diploma or a related qualification
- Experience as an Electrical Designer, Drafter or Modeller within transport, rail, buildings, Defence, utilities, energy or major infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD
- Demonstrated experience developing electrical models and drawings for building services, transport infrastructure and/or high-voltage electrical systems
- Understanding of electrical systems including power, lighting, communications, security, fire and life safety systems and associated infrastructure
- Experience producing accurate electrical drawings and models with minimal supervision
- Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams in a BIM environment
- Familiarity with BIM processes, model coordination and digital engineering workflows
- Knowledge of PDF review and mark-up software such as Bluebeam or PDF-XChange
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- A commitment to safety, environmental and quality standards
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and Revizto
- Experience on rail, transport, buildings, Defence, utilities or major infrastructure projects
