Electrical Mechanical Technician

Job Summary
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, and automation equipment, including PLCs, servo systems, and motor controls. Diagnose and correct control system malfunctions while installing, testing, and maintaining electrical devices and drives. Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and machine overhauls to support production and engineering teams. Initiate purchase requisitions for replacement parts and provide guidance to interns. Adhere to all safety, quality, and environmental standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Requires a flexible 12-hour day or night shift, a 2-year technical degree, and forklift licensing.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree (2-year technical degree) in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
- Licensed forklift operator
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks required to support manufacturing and maintenance operations
- Must comply with all company safety, quality, and environmental policies and procedures
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Available to work a flexible 12-hour day or night shift
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing automated manufacturing equipment
- Experience working with PLCs, drives, controls, and automation systems
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to diagnose and repair automation equipment and control systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and documentation
- Experience performing preventive maintenance and equipment calibration activities
- Proficiency with electronic test equipment, hand tools, computers, and material handling equipment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with production personnel, engineers, and leadership teams
