Job Summary
Manage all electrical projects in the Thunder Bay and district area by coordinating trades, scheduling, budgeting, estimating, and billings. Direct site foremen and workers to ensure projects complete on time, in budget, and with safety and quality as priorities. Oversee engineering deliverables to comply with regulations and corporate procedures while managing multiple jobs through technical staff and equipment. Price and initiate sourcing of electrical materials through Purchasing.
Required Qualifications
- Electrical background
- Either recognized accreditation as a journeyman electrician, Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.), Electrical Engineer or Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng) in the province of Ontario
- Working knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code
- Ability to price and initiate through Purchasing the sourcing of electrical materials for multiple jobs
- 5-10 years of progressive electrical supervisory experience
- Experience with electrical take-offs/estimation
- Excellent computer skills and working knowledge with Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Project
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Experience in leading a team and making decisions, related to hiring, scheduling and behaviour management
- Show a high level of technical understanding
- Budget development experience, including forecasting
- Safety program management and implementation
- Strong conceptual skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, planning and organizational abilities with excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be a strong team player with the ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective leadership ability
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to various job sites from time to time
Desired Qualifications
- Member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 402 is an asset
