Job Summary
Drive engineering activities at the Biffa MBT facility by managing reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance, and project work to ensure plant availability. Perform motor electrical and mechanical fault finding, including diagnostics on PLCs, sensors, relays, and control panels, while interpreting electrical drawings and maintaining MCC layouts. Adhere to high engineering, compliance, and H&S standards during your 4 on 4 off shift rotation, ensuring immediate reporting of accidents and incidents. Maintain housekeeping to high standards and implement process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- HNC Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- BS7671 18th edition
- Must be electrical qualified and competent
- Experience of working in a similar environment, so either manufacturing or industrial or automated, supporting maintenance work
- Ideally, we are looking for someone who can fault find on PLC's, preferably Siemens S7, but anything else is considered
- Motor electrical and mechanical fault finding
- Familiarity with MCC layout of panels
- Controls and Instrumentation (temperatures, pressure transducers, flow meters etc)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Electrical fault diagnoses
- PLC hardware knowledge
Desired Qualifications
- BS7671 18th edition (advantageous)
