Electrical Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, and control panels while performing preventative and predictive maintenance to support uptime. Install and modify wiring, components, and control systems; support equipment upgrades, automation initiatives, and capital projects. Maintain and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment such as furnaces, welding systems, and leak testing equipment. Adhere to OSHA, NEC, and NFPA 70E regulations, including Lockout/Tagout requirements, and maintain accurate maintenance logs. Requires 3–7+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience and ability to work overtime or on-call as needed. Located in Franklin, WI, within a stable, growing API Heat Transfer manufacturing environment focused on safety and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3–7+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Ability to work in an industrial environment (heat, noise, moving equipment)
- Flexibility to work overtime or on-call as needed
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Desired Qualifications
- Technical degree or certification in Electrical Maintenance or related field
- PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley or Siemens)
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Industrial wiring and controls
- Electrical diagnostic tools (multimeters, megohmmeters)
- Ability to read ladder logic diagrams and schematics
- Experience with automation, robotics, or HMI systems
- Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent
- Experience in metal fabrication or heat exchanger manufacturing
- Familiarity with CMMS systems
