Electrical Maintenance Lead

Job Summary

Develop, manage, and enforce comprehensive quality control programs for maintenance, repair, and modification activities across aircraft and U.S. Navy shipboard systems. Conduct inspections, audits, and evaluations of processes, tools, documentation, and completed work packages to validate repairs and system modifications against J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, and IPC-A-620 standards. Lead root-cause analyses for quality issues and non-conformances while implementing corrective and preventative actions to drive continuous improvement. Mentor maintenance personnel in applying quality standards, inspection criteria, and verification procedures, ensuring all tasks conform to safety policies and operational requirements. Maintain objectivity during inspections and document findings accurately using Microsoft Office applications.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Degree
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any required security clearance for facility, vessel, or platform access
  • Current Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) certifications
  • Five (5) or more years performing maintenance, repair, or modification of aircraft or U.S. Navy shipboard mechanical systems
  • Five (5) years of concurrent experience supervising maintenance and repair activities in these environments
  • Strong technical background with direct exposure to inspection, verification, and maintenance quality standards
  • Extensive experience developing, implementing, and managing quality control programs within a maintenance environment
  • Essential familiarity with J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620
  • Proven ability to identify quality issues, analyze root causes, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead quality teams and collaborate effectively with maintenance leadership
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings, preparing reports, and coaching personnel
  • High attention to detail and the ability to maintain objectivity during inspections
  • High level problem-solving and communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Project management principles and practices
  • Ability to work with various levels of personnel including senior leadership
  • Use of Microsoft Office software applications to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Desired Qualifications

  • Technical training in mechanical systems, quality assurance, inspection methods, or related maintenance disciplines
