Job Summary
Electrical Maintenance Engineer role in Port Talbot supporting a high-performing FMCG manufacturing site. You will carry out planned preventative maintenance across electrical systems and machinery, respond to electrical breakdowns to minimise downtime, diagnose faults and implement robust long-term fixes. You’ll work with PLCs (Siemens preferred) and drives to fault-find and support production equipment, identify recurring issues for continuous improvement, maintain accurate maintenance records, and ensure health and safety and site compliance. The role requires a hands-on, proactive engineer able to work independently and as part of a team to keep production running smoothly in a structured shift pattern (Panama shifts: 2 on 2 off; 3 on 2 off; alternating days/nights).
Required Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds Level 3 or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance in manufacturing
- Experience with PLCs (Siemens preferred)
- Experience with drives
- Hands-on and team-oriented
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
