Job Summary
Ensure continuous production running by eliminating downtime through safe, logical fault finding and maintenance of complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems. Carry out planned and reactive engineering activities on site, interrogating maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information and recommendations. Work a continental shift pattern, 4 on 4 off covering both days and nights, 6:30am to 6:30pm, with overtime available at a premium. Utilize electrical qualifications and hands-on practical skills to rectify defects while adhering to environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Apprentice trained in a similar position
- Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements
- Practical hands-on approach
- Experience in electrical fault finding
- Experience in defect rectification
- Experience in routine maintenance activities
- Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems
- Ability to provide accurate plant condition information
- Ability to provide recommendations
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience dealing with operatives
- Experience dealing with Team leaders from both maintenance and production
- Must be able to work a continental shift pattern
- Must be able to work 4 on 4 off covering both days and nights
- Must be able to work 6:30am to 6:30pm
Desired Qualifications
- Electrical qualifications (C&G 2320 P1 & P2, ONC, NVQ 3, 18th Edition or equivalent)
- PLC And VSD Knowledge
- Experience in mechanical fitting
- Experience in hydraulics
- Experience in pneumatics
