Job Summary
Conduct reactive engineering activities on site to eliminate downtime by performing fault finding and maintenance of equipment. Execute planned maintenance for electrical systems controlling hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and motors, while reading technical drawings and utilizing PLC fault finding skills for Siemens and Allen Bradley systems. Maintain knowledge of robots and automated process plant machinery, alongside mechanical fitting and welding. Operate in a 42-hour week involving 12-hour shifts (6:00am to 6:00pm) on a 4 on 4 off rotation.
Required Qualifications
- A strong electrical working knowledge
- Some mechanical experience
- The ideal applicant will be a qualified, time served engineer in a similar position ideally at NVQ 3 level
- Ideally apprentice trained and qualified to the 18th edition wiring regulations
- PLC fault finding skills
- Working knowledge of robots and automated process plant & machinery
- Experience in mechanical fitting, welding, fabrication and general machining
- Experienced in reactive and planned maintenance of electrical systems controlling hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors (belts, chain, rollers, bearings, gear boxes, motors etc.)
- Able to read technical drawings
- Must be available for 12 hour shifts
- Must work 4 on 4 off rotation
- Must work 6:00am to 6:00pm shifts
- Must work days & nights
