Job Summary
Electrical & Low Voltage Field Technician to support installation, upgrade, and maintenance projects at customer sites across the United States. Must be dependable, self-directed, comfortable working in the field, and able to travel frequently. Role involves a mix of electrical work and low-voltage/data infrastructure tasks in active commercial environments. Most projects occur during overnight hours to minimize disruption; travel for extended periods is expected. Responsibilities include installing, replacing, and configuring network switches and rack equipment; mounting and securing cabinets; power modifications for installations; performing structured cabling with routing, termination, labeling, and testing; maintaining MDF/IDF rooms with proper cable management and documentation; reading blueprints and wiring diagrams; adhering to electrical codes and safety regulations; coordinating with project leads and teams; documenting work and issues; troubleshooting electrical or network connectivity problems; travel to job sites as required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Electrical Journeyman or Apprentice license, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical, low voltage, or data/communications installation
- Experience installing network equipment, racks, or structured cabling systems
- Ability to lift and handle equipment up to approximately 75 lbs
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively
- Ability to work overnight shifts and flexible schedules as required
- Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in tight or elevated spaces
