Job Summary
Supervise a crew of 2-15 on electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of wiring systems in commercial settings. Assemble, install, and test equipment while connecting wiring per code and job specifications. Prepare work areas, read blueprints, and verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances. Operate certified tools including hydraulic benders, power threaders, and lifts, and secure equipment after use. Deliver safe projects on schedule and within budget while adhering to building codes. Work 40 hours per week with overtime and night shifts as required. Perform physical duties including lifting over 50 pounds and working in all weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- State Certified Lead Journeyman Electrician
- Proven experience as a lead electrician capable of supervising a crew of 2-15
- State Journeyman Electrician Certification
- Excellent working knowledge of the Building Codes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds
- Able to work 8-10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime, and night shifts as required
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, including crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching
Desired Qualifications
- State Journeyman Electrician Certification is a requirement in states where required or considered highly desirable in states without this requirement
