Job Summary
Oversee construction compliance, electrical testing, and verification of industrial process equipment and power distribution systems at Gas Compression Stations and LNG plants. Inspect installations against drawings and standards, plan construction sequences to meet budget and timeline objectives, and verify alignment with project design and manufacturer specifications. Perform electrical checks, troubleshooting, and documentation while ensuring adherence to OSHA requirements, NEC, and safety codes. Lead site management in contract administration, participate in key meetings, and provide training to owner's operational staff. This senior-level role requires 10+ years of experience in plant startup, operations, or maintenance, with a focus on switchyards, switchgear, and motors. Full-time position with nights, weekends, and travel to site locations required.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of related experience
- 4-year engineering degree in a related discipline
- Combined experience in construction, commissioning, engineering design, plant startup, operations, or maintenance
- Prior experience with industrial/power plant projects
- Deep knowledge of electrical standards (OSHA, NFPA, NEC) and best practices
- Proficiency in industrial power & process plant systems (medium/low voltage)
- Skilled in installation verification, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and documentation of electrical systems
- Strong understanding of construction practices for conduits, cable tray installation, supports, and cable-pulling techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Competence in creating and/or following safe work procedures (LOTO, Arc Flash, Arc Blast, Shock Hazard protections)
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication skills (verbal & written)
- Ability to lead and supervise technicians, subcontractors, or client personnel as required
- High degree of self-motivation, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to project completion
- Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and extended hours as project schedules require
- Ability to travel to site locations and perform physical tasks related to inspections and equipment testing
