Job Summary
Follow established safety procedures and perform maintenance, repair, and preventative work on electrical equipment and circuits. Analyze and troubleshoot malfunctions in equipment and control systems to diagnose and correct problems quickly. Read and interpret drawings and wiring schematics while participating in continuous improvement activities. Navigate busy environments, operate mobile equipment, and lift materials up to 50 lbs. Work flexible shifts including days, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays with little notice. Complete comprehensive assessments, drug testing, and background checks.
Required Qualifications
- At least six (6) years of related experience as an Electrician or a U.S. Department of Labor Certificate of Completion in the Electrical trade
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete the General Motors hiring process requirements which includes comprehensive assessments, drug testing, and a background check
- At least 18 years of age
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Must be willing to work flexible shift hours and day, afternoon, or night shift as well as overtime hours daily, weekends and holidays on those shifts with little notice

- Quick response to safety instructions, alarms, and signals are a must
- Ability to work and stand for extended periods

- Drive mobile equipment when needed
