Job Summary
Cut, thread, bend, assemble, and install conduits, enclosures, and fittings while pulling wire and cable through them. Install distribution and control equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breaker panels, and fuse enclosures, including single and multi-wire cables above and underground, as well as data cabling and fiber optic systems. Work in all weather conditions to install fixtures and devices for industrial applications, safely troubleshooting repairs logically and efficiently in accordance with current electrical codes and customer specifications. Maintain fiber optic and signaling systems while ensuring all work meets Nova Scotia Electrical Safety Code and Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate of Qualification as a registered Electrical Apprentice in the NSAA
- Minimum of 2 years of trade experience
- Knowledge of Nova Scotia Electrical Safety Code
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Knowledge of all other applicable legislation
- Building Automation Controls experience
- Fire Alarm experience
- Experience in Class 1 Division 1
- Valid Driver's License
