Job Summary
The Electrical Journeyman role involves installation, troubleshooting & repair of electrical systems and circuits in retail, commercial, & industrial settings adhering to National Electrical Code (NEC) standards. Responsibilities include managing work orders, maintaining as-built drawings, and ensuring safety standards. Applicants must possess a valid state electrical license, have the ability to travel extensively, and demonstrate strong communication skills. Knowledge of network infrastructure and proficiency in Microsoft Office are preferred. This position is categorized as safety-sensitive, requiring drug and alcohol testing.
Required Qualifications
- A valid electrical license issued by your state of residence is required and must be maintained in good standing throughout employment
- Must have a valid driver’s license & be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
- Meet company standards for pre-employment background checks and drug screening
- Typical physical demands include frequent work on lifts, ladders, and possibly rooftops and other harder-to-access areas
- Must have industry-standard hand tools
- Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with employees and/or clients
- Manual dexterity required for frequent reaching, climbing, and lifting of objects (typically up to 50 lbs.), and operating power tools
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of network infrastructure, structured cabling, & telecommunication equipment or the willingness to learn is strongly preferred
- Phone, mobile application & PC proficiency required (Microsoft Office applications strongly preferred)
- Strong client / people relationship skills
