Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and residential settings while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnostics on wiring, fixtures, and equipment, interpreting blueprints and schematics to plan installations. Upgrade existing systems to meet current safety and efficiency standards, coordinating with other tradespeople and contractors to complete projects on time. Requires infrequent overnight travel and willingness to work extended, varied shifts in all seasons and extreme conditions. Must have Journeyman certification, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs, and work in confined spaces.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman certification
- solid working knowledge of commercial and residential electrical systems
- valid driver's license with good driving records to be insurable
- reliable transportation
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- ability to climb stairs, lift, bend, kneel frequently and stand for long periods
- ability to work in confined spaces, work with heights
- ability to pass pre-employment tests (background and drug screen)
- willingness to work extended and varied shifts as required
- willingness to work in all seasons and conditions throughout the year and may be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold)
- ability to demonstrate attention to safety
- ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members
- ability to work effectively in a team environment
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in construction or a related field
