Job Summary
Provide primary support and execution of electrical and controls maintenance to manufacturing lines and ancillary systems. Install, configure, and troubleshoot process instrumentation while resolving programming faults and modifying PLC logic for improved error response. Perform work as an Industrial Electrician on electrical panels and wiring up to 480V, including running conduit and cabling. Support equipment calibration, programming updates, and machine setup while collaborating with operations and engineering to resolve problems. Review system layouts and schematics, analyze operational data to diagnose performance issues, and maintain critical environmental and process control systems. Execute both planned maintenance and emergent production line support, troubleshooting, and repair. May occasionally be asked to perform on-call responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Technical Degree in Industrial Electrical, Controls, or Automation-based fields
- At least four years of related experience and/or training
- Experience working with Electrical Distribution systems and wiring up to 480V
- Experience with electric motor troubleshooting & maintenance (wire starters, wire different types of motors, megger, etc.)
- Strong fundamental understanding of mechanical system operations and common preventative maintenance concepts
- Certified or able to become certified to operate multiple kinds of powered industrial vehicles such as forklifts and man/personnel lifts
Desired Qualifications
- Technical Degree in Industrial Electrical, Controls, or Automation-based fields
- Experience maintaining industrial automation processes utilizing Siemens 505 or S7 PLCs, Siemens AC Vector Drives, DeltaV, and/or AVEVA/Wonderware
- Drafting experience in Computer Automated Design software such as AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventory
- Experience working in SAP or other Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Hydraulic maintenance and troubleshooting experience
