Job Summary
Provide technical expertise for the reliability, maintenance, and performance of plant electrical and instrumentation systems in El Dorado, AR. Oversee safe operation of electrical distribution systems ensuring compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, and facility safety procedures. Lead Root Cause Failure Analyses (RCFAs), drive corrective actions, and partner with maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement long-term reliability improvements. Develop specifications for electrical components and guide installation, testing, and commissioning of systems. Analyze performance data to identify trends and contribute to equipment reliability programs including preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies. Support capital projects through design input and technical reviews. This role reports to the Manufacturing Technology Leader and requires a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial environments. Travel up to 25% may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of electrical and/or reliability engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Demonstrated experience working with field maintenance personnel in troubleshooting and hands‐on support
- Proficient computer skills, including use of engineering software and data tools
- Proven background in the design, specification, installation, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems
- Thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC), including requirements for hazardous (classified) locations
- Ability to perform and document Root Cause Failure Analyses (RCFA)
- Experience in chemical manufacturing or other PSM‐regulated industries
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Travel up to 25% may be required
Desired Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector
- Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), such as SAP
- Experience applying Lean methodologies to maintenance processes and supporting the implementation of business systems
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP)
- Advanced knowledge of data analysis, failure analysis techniques, and reliability engineering best practices
- Strong understanding of reliability methodologies including: Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Predictive maintenance frameworks
- Familiarity with advanced reliability strategies: Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Equipment uptime optimization, Life cycle cost analysis / Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
- Proficiency in condition‐based maintenance technologies, such as: Infrared thermography, Ultrasonics, Performance testing and monitoring tools
