Job Summary
Assess market opportunities and technical feasibility for E&I commissioning and system safety service offerings in semiconductor and E&E manufacturing. Design new service methodologies, templates, and inspection protocols while leading technical reviews of electrical designs, automation systems, and instrumentation readiness. Conduct site inspections, audits, and verification activities across factory set-up, pre-commissioning, and handover phases to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Provide senior technical leadership to project teams, mentor engineers, and collaborate with customers and contractors to resolve technical issues. Establish standards, procedures, and report templates for technical assurance services. Support proposal development and tender clarifications with strong professional judgement. Adhere to SGS Health, Safety and Environment policies during all site activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering or a related discipline
- Professional Engineer (Ir.) registration
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in commissioning, quality assurance, internal audit, inspection, engineering assurance or new factory / plant set-up for E&E and semiconductor manufacturing environments
- Able and willing to travel up to 75% of the time to customer sites, project locations and manufacturing facilities
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (Ir.) registration is required / strongly preferred based on business requirement
- Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, E&E manufacturing, high-tech manufacturing, cleanroom / facility systems, automation or critical manufacturing infrastructure
