Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician

Job Summary
Install, terminate, and troubleshoot power, control, and instrumentation wiring while reading one-line diagrams, P&IDs, and construction documents. Mount conduit, cable trays, junction boxes, and equipment including motors, VFDs, and control panels. Perform instrument terminations, loop checks, functional testing, and calibrations for pressure, level, flow, and temperature devices. Verify system operation, assist with startup and commissioning, and maintain accurate documentation. Work outdoors in varying weather, lifting up to 50 pounds, while adhering to OSHA standards and collaborating with engineers and project management. Monday through Friday schedule with occasional overtime on stable, long-term industrial projects in the Naples area.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as an Electrical, E&I, Instrumentation, or Industrial Electrical Technician
- Experience in industrial construction, manufacturing, utilities, power generation, or water/wastewater facilities
- Ability to install and terminate electrical and instrumentation systems
- Experience reading electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs
- Familiarity with motors, MCCs, VFDs, control panels, and field instrumentation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to safely use electrical testing equipment and hand tools
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Monday – Friday work schedule
- Occasional overtime
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with water or wastewater treatment facilities
- Experience performing instrument calibrations and loop checks
- Familiarity with PLC-controlled systems and SCADA environments
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- NFPA 70E training
- Electrical apprenticeship or technical school education
