Electrical & Instrumentation Construction Superintendent

Job Summary

Coordinate all Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) construction activities for the Miran Gas Plant Early Production Facility & Gathering system EPC project, ensuring safe execution per company HSE policy. Supervise E&I works by reviewing cable schedules, I/O lists, drawings, method statements, risk assessments, and work-packs. Witness pre-commissioning activities including loop checks, continuity tests, and field device calibrations. Validate DCS/PLC integration tests with subsystems and input weekly reports on construction progress. Manage value of work done (VOWD) reports and close out E&I punch lists to achieve Mechanical Completion. Reports to the Construction Manager with a 6-day work week starting December 26th, 2026, located at Bazian/Miran Field. Requires 10+ years of E&I Superintendent experience in Iraq/MENA and mandatory on-site travel.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science from an accredited University in Electrical/Electronic or Control Systems Engineering
  • Advanced understanding of Distributed Control (DCS) and Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD)
  • Experience with IEC 61511, ISA S88/S95, and API RP 554 for control systems
  • Experience in interpreting E&I Construction schedules and Estimates
  • Minimum of 10 years in a role as an Electrical and Instrumentation Construction Superintendent in Iraq and MENA region
  • Prior experience in Fast Track Gas Processing plant projects in Kurdistan and MENA region
  • Demonstrable experience in with Inspections, Punch-listing & pre-commissioning activities to achieve E&I Mechanical Completion
  • Ability to fully comply with the Companies HSE Policies and standards to minimize Construction related LTI and incidents
  • Expert knowledge of Cable routing and termination for control and signal lines, Mounting and wiring of field instruments (e.g., transmitters, solenoids) and Panel installation (marshalling cabinets, remote I/O, control panels)
  • Expert knowledge with LV & MV Power Generation systems, Variable Speed Drives, switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, and protection relays
  • Experience with Fibre Optic Networks (FOC) and data acquisition systems (SCADA)
  • Experience with Fire & Gas systems for Sour Gas (H2S) service
  • Knowledge of ATEX/IECEx standards for equipment in explosive atmospheres
  • Experience with load flow, fault analysis, and protection coordination
  • Knowledge of Control system Architecture and DCS system design
  • Strong understanding of international construction standards and codes
  • Understanding in 3D Modelling for Cabling Routing/Installation and Electrical Equipment Layout
  • Understanding of hazardous area classifications and instrumentation zoning
  • Ability to travel to site is mandatory. This requires an acceptable level of mobility and fitness to carry essential safety equipment (escape sets)
