Job Summary
Electrical & Instrumentation Technician role focused on analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing process control instrumentation, electrical equipment, PLCs, and DCS systems; programming and configuring PLCs/DCS; performing electrical installation, maintenance, and calibration; reading wiring diagrams and specifications; handling high- and low-voltage distributions (up to 13.8kV); collaborating with E&I Technicians and maintenance teams; light to moderate travel (0-10%); on-site in Washington, IN; 12-hour rotating shift; on-site, safety-compliant operations.
Required Qualifications
- 2-year degree in Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology or related technical field is desired
- OR
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant job experience in a manufacturing environment required
- Experience troubleshooting and programming PLCs (i.e. Allen Bradley)
- Knowledge of Process Control Instrumentation calibration
- Variable Frequency Drive installation and troubleshooting
- Electrical maintenance knowledge of 24VDC, 120 volt single phase, 480 VAC, 4160VAC, 13.8 VAC 3 phase power systems
- Electrical theory and principles for operation of electrical equipment
- Ability to read, understand, and apply the National Electrical Code
