Job Summary
Prepare for and instruct established curriculum and lesson plans to students in a professional manner, covering lecturing, lab instruction, and student assistance. Review syllabi requirements, answer student questions, and ensure awareness of safety policies while monitoring correct procedures. Manage classroom activities, resolve student issues, and coach on professionalism. Record attendance, grades, and interactions in student files and databases. Collect outside work from 25% of students to meet ACCSC requirements. Setup lab areas for daily activities, maintain equipment and tools, and initiate student support plans as needed. Attend weekly and annual training to maintain field currency. Work closely with the Program Supervisor to manage retention risks and advise students on educational issues. Maintain industry-specific community relations to secure guest speakers and assist students in gaining employment.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Certificate Program
- Associates Degree in Electrical or related field
- 3+ years (minimum 4, 000 hours) of experience in Electrical or related field
- State RW/JW license
- Apprentice Program completion certificate
- Other Reciprocal States
