Job Summary
As an Electrical Installer, you will install, program, test, repair, and service various systems including security and fire alarm systems with minimal guidance. Responsibilities include providing technical installation support, interpreting manuals and schematics, and ensuring quality standards. Key qualifications include 3-5 years of experience in the electronic security industry, solid construction skills, mechanical and electrical aptitude, and strong communication skills. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Experience installing and wiring access control, network cameras, door hardware, panel installation & wiring, and programming of door and camera additions
- Solid Construction Skills and understanding of system plans
- Solid understanding of blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, cut sheets, wiring schematics, and cable support installation
- Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure
- Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude and ability to read blueprints and drawings; solid math skills
- Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant trade designation (e.g. Electrician)
- Experience in 1 or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation
- Experience with Axis / Bosch / DMP / Lenel / Software House
Additional Requirements
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Previous construction experience including some level of electrical or a low voltage background
