Job Summary
Install, program, system start-up, certification, and conduct customer training on assigned Fire, Security, and Building Automation projects. Deliver projects effectively within budgeted cost and time schedules while performing other duties as requested. Work on small to medium projects typically, with flexibility for larger, more complex assignments as needed. Requires basic construction skills, blueprint reading, and proficiency with hand and power tools. High School/GED or equivalent experience required; 1-3 years in electrical, fire alarm, or building automation preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED or equivalent experience
- Basic construction skills
- Understanding of system plans
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, and cable support installation (J-Hook, Raceway, Conduit, Cable Support)
- Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper
- Solid math skills
- Minimum Experience: Basic construction with some level of electrical or a low voltage background
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years relevant Experience in 1 or more of the following industries: electronic/electrical, fire alarm & life safety, data-cable installation and/or building automation
