Job Summary

Inspect electrical and SCADA installations on natural gas transmission facilities to verify compliance with design requirements, Federal, State, and local codes. Validate that electricians are licensed for the jurisdiction and confirm all work adheres to Company specifications and approved drawings. Maintain records of received materials, verify component orientation and markings against bills of material, and check circuit continuity using test meters. Perform visual inspections of construction crew quality while navigating construction sites, trenches, and extreme weather conditions. Report to the Chief Inspector on projects located across the continental United States.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years field-based experience providing electrical inspections on plant/station construction/modifications for natural gas transmission facilities
  • Experience in all phases of electrical and instrumentation construction work including handling, inspection, installation, testing, commissioning, and start-up
  • Broad knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, and control system construction, commissioning, and inspection best practices
  • Knowledge of electrical construction inspection, quality assurance, quality control, and other safety-related construction requirements related to electrical
  • Knowledge of typical construction grounding requirements, stray current mitigation, and other safety related construction requirements related to electrical
  • Ability to use test meters to check the continuity of electrical circuitry and oversee contract work of this nature
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards including o NFPA 70: National Electric code
  • 49 CFR PART 192
  • Must possess and maintain a current, valid Driver License
  • Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
  • Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
  • Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
