Electrical Inspector - Construction Supervision

Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive inspections of electrical installations and systems at various construction stages to verify compliance with applicable codes and safety regulations. Review drawings and specifications to identify potential issues, perform detailed testing of grounding and circuit integrity, and document all findings and non-conformances in organized reports. Supervise contractors on-site to ensure adherence to safety protocols, communicate corrective actions to stakeholders, and recommend timelines for resolving code violations. Collaborate with project teams to resolve technical issues while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in electrical inspection or electrical systems within construction environments
- Proven supervisory or leadership experience on construction sites
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations (NEC, IEC, and UAE-specific electrical requirements)
- Strong proficiency in electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, and safety systems
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills with the ability to maintain detailed inspection records and reports
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of construction site safety management and OSHA or equivalent safety standards
- Valid electrical inspection license or certification
- Familiarity with project management principles and construction scheduling
- Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions in the field
- Physical capability to conduct on-site inspections in various weather conditions and challenging environments
- Must be available for in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location

- Familiarity with CAD or electrical design software
- Stay current with UAE electrical codes, international standards, and industry best practices
