Job Summary
Join a dynamic engineering team as an Electrical & I&C Designer responsible for creating detailed drawings and comprehensive packages for electrical and instrumentation and controls in power and industrial systems. Utilize CAD tools and your expertise in electrical design to support project success while adhering to industry standards.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Drafting and Design or equivalent electrical design experience
- Proven proficiency with CAD design tools such as SMAP 3D Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical
- Demonstrated experience developing detailed schematics for electrical power and industrial control systems
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and design principles
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards
- Familiarity with ANSI Y14.100 and related drawing standards
- Familiarity with International Electronics Commission (IEC) standards 61082 and 60617
- Familiarity with National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a multi-discipline team
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Industrial Controls Systems (ICS) Design and Industrial Automation Systems
- Experience designing Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems
- Experience working on projects in the nuclear industry or other sectors with a strict QA program
- Familiarity with control panel design (both 2D and 3D)
- Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) systems
