Job Summary
Electrical HSE Project Technician at Monroe, NC site responsible for conducting new hire/site orientations, enforcing safety plans and procedures (Fall Protection, HAZCOM, PPE), accompanying injured employees to medical facilities, performing field inspections and audits (JSEA, Equipment Inspections, Ground Assurance), participating in Behavioral Based Safety, entering observations into the BBS database, assisting with training records, on-site coaching, enforcing Life Critical Policies, correcting unsafe acts, participating in daily JSEA and Toolbox meetings, ensuring Safe Work Practices with Supervisors, staying current on HS&E policies and regulatory requirements (OSHA, MSHA, DOT, NFPA), and assisting in accident investigations with implementation of corrective actions. Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required.
Required Qualifications
- OSHA 30
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience as an HSE technician in Electrical
- Valid Driver’s License or State identification, and a Social Security Card
- State and/or local license/certifications may be required
- Certification which may be a plus: CSP, ASP, OHST, CSST, NFPA 70E knowledge
