Job Summary
R&D Hardware Design Engineer needed to design and develop high-speed, high-performance hardware platforms for networking at HPE Networking. You’ll contribute from component selection and schematic design through board bring-up, debugging, and validation, work hands-on with complex digital designs, collaborate with global cross-functional teams to integrate hardware deliverables, perform feasibility studies and validation planning, and conduct empirical testing and root-cause analysis to meet stringent quality goals. Role involves managing relationships with internal and outsourced partners and driving JDM engagements to deliver cost-effective solutions. Requires a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline and 4–6 years of hands-on hardware design experience; strong digital/analog design skills; experience with high-speed design, signal integrity, and power distribution; Cadence tool proficiency (OrCAD/Allegro); and programming/scripting skills (Python, Perl, MATLAB). Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline
- 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in systems and hardware design
- Strong foundation in digital and analog circuit design
- Knowledge of high-speed design concepts, signal integrity, power distribution
- Experience measuring, testing, and characterizing high-speed digital signals
- Board-level design experience using Cadence tools (OrCAD, Allegro)
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (Python, Perl, MATLAB)
