Job Summary

Design complex, mission-critical systems by leading requirements analysis, schematic capture, and PCB/PWB layout and routing activities. Support manufacturing, integration, and qualification of hardware systems including mission computers, sensor processors, and stores management. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop systems meeting high expectations while utilizing the Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition tool suite for signal integrity and power integrity analysis. This role supports the Airborne Systems business area with opportunities across GDMS. Applicants must obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance and hold U.S. citizenship. The position offers a 9/80 flexible schedule with every other Friday off, a combined salary range of $118,570 to $125,054 annually, and is available in a fully on-site or hybrid environment at the Bloomington, Minnesota facility.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field
  • 5+ years of job-related experience
  • Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship

Desired Qualifications

  • designing electrical hardware using the Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition tool suite
  • high-speed digital and high-density circuit card design incorporating embedded processors or FPGAs
  • designs using fiber optic interfaces
  • advanced working knowledge of lab equipment including oscilloscopes and Ethernet network testers
  • Understanding of the hardware development process throughout the lifecycle of a program
  • Experience with circuit card designs, including using advanced materials, packaging techniques, and high-speed interfaces
  • Working knowledge of the Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition tool suite for schematic entry, constraint manager, and HyperLynx Signal Integrity/Power Integrity analysis
  • Ability to persevere through design challenges with minimal direction
  • Exceptional communication skills with the capacity to drive innovation and secure buy-in on your concepts and idea
