Job Summary
Conduct DC trenching, MV cable installation, conduit runs, and fiber termination while performing splices, terminations, and wire management for solar field construction. Execute string current checks, megger testing, and various voltage tests including PD, VLF, and VOC. Lead training on underground systems, manage LOTO and switching/energization, and produce as-built surveys and tier board documentation. Work outdoors in all weather conditions, lifting 50+ pounds and standing for extended periods. Requires GED or equivalent; experience on solar construction projects preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Able to lift 50+ pound materials, maneuvering them into their proper places
- Able to conduct repetitive actions, such as stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching
- Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Able to follow precise instruction and receive feedback
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to work well with others, including colleagues and supervisors
- Able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits
- This position requires working outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc
- This position may also include exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards
- This is a field-based, hands-on position in which successful candidates contribute to the construction of a solar field

- Can independently perform the following: Wire Management
- Can independently perform the following: Labeling
- Can independently perform the following: Fiber Termination
- Can independently perform the following: LOTO
- Can independently perform the following: Switching/Energization
- Can independently perform the following: String Current Checks
